4. DATA RETENTION PERIOD

In line with our principles, Skynet Hosting will process your personal data only for the period strictly necessary to achieve the purposes specified above. If you are a client, your data will be processed throughout the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter in accordance with the legal obligations that concern Skynet Hosting. Regarding the client's account, it will be maintained for a period of 5 years from the last financial transaction recorded on the account, and it will be automatically deleted after this period, provided that there are no active services on the account. As for financial-accounting documents, such as contracts and addendums, they will be stored in accordance with the legal term of 10 years from the end of the financial year. If you choose to withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data or request data deletion, you have the option to exercise your rights according to the details presented in point 7 below. It should be noted that the deletion of an account is only possible if no active services are present on it. If one or more active services are on the account, the account can only be closed under the following circumstances: 

  • Waiting for the expiration of the contracted service or services on the account. 

  • Giving up the active service or services on the account through written request or transferring them to other providers or registrars. If you decide to withdraw your consent for data processing for marketing purposes, Skynet Hosting will cease processing your personal data for these purposes, without affecting processing based on consent given prior to its withdrawal. The retention of personal data for a longer period may occur for internal notes, statistics, service improvement, and research or market studies.
